It has been the subject of numerous military conflicts in its long history and continues to be a major point of contention in the Middle East today.

This tour begins with a detailed briefing illustrated with maps, covering one hundred years of history from the late Ottoman period to the present day. It invites visitors to appreciate Jerusalem's unique spiritual, cultural and political heritage. We will explore the city’s dynamic past as we visit landmarks, monuments and hidden gems, providing an in-depth look at the local culture to gain a deeper understanding of the city's history as we uncover its scars and stories, providing an unforgettable and vibrant experience.

The group will walk through the Muslim and Christian quarters, discussing their background and significance. You will be taken to key sites that illustrate the historical narrative, including the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and the Dome of the Rock. Your guide will explain the various religions and cultures that have called the Old City home and trace the impact of the 1948 and 1967 wars. The visit will conclude with a discussion of the current situation, including the potential for peace. Your guide will describe and analyse the impact of Jewish settlements on nearby Palestinian neighbourhoods and place the discourse within the context of current struggles and tensions.
